The Irving Heritage Society recreates a 1914 party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Percy Schulze with its annual Vintage Valentine Tea. The public is invited to share in this special event from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Heritage House, 303 S. O’Connor Road. Reservations are not required, and admission is free.
Just as in 1914, there will be strings of hearts from the chandeliers, and the lace draperies at the windows and dining table will have festoons of hearts and arrows. The event includes the naming of the Irving Heritage Society Sweetheart.
The newly rebuilt Mary’s Playhouse also will be open for viewing. It is located just behind the Heritage House in the garden area.
